MPC’s Anodized Aluminum Overlays are an ideal choice for panel overlays because of their exceptional abrasion resistance. The anodic layer is impervious to weather, and provides excellent resistance to abrasion, corrosion, chemicals and solvents. Anodized aluminum may be a cost-effective alternative to Metalphoto for certain applications.
Anodized aluminum overlays are used as the front panel of a one-part panel overlay or two-part panel construction. A one-part panel overlay is engineered from one sheet of anodized aluminum with graphic elements and is fabricated to your design using one or more processes in our machine and print shops. A two-part panel overlay construction is engineered from a thinner sheet of anodized aluminum with graphic elements, which is then affixed to an identically fabricated thicker supporting aluminum or stainless steel back panel.

- Superior resistance to abrasion, chemicals, solvents, and extreme temperatures. Black graphics possess the greatest durability with expected exterior life of up to 10 years. Color options have limited UV resistance and are not recommended for long-term outdoor use.
- After fabrication, edges and holes of the finished parts are not anodized; a secondary process may be elected for thicknesses of .063” or greater to anodize, alodine or paint these edges for increased durability and protection.
- Precision fabrication in our machine and print shops to your design specifications in thicknesses ranging from .003” to .125”.
